The Ofsted data is an invaluable resource when it comes to selling to UK schools. In this guide, you’ll learn how to find the data, and how to implement it effectively to level up your marketing.
Why Should I Use The Ofsted Data?
Knowing which schools to target based on their Ofsted evaluations will help you to super-segment your marketing, allowing you to target those who will really benefit from your products and services. With the option to filter based on multiple Ofsted criteria, such as ‘Overall Effectiveness’, ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’, and ‘Safeguarding’, you can target those with low grades who want to improve. Alternatively, your product/service may only be effective in schools that have already reached an overall Ofsted grade of Good or Outstanding. You can also filter based on the date of the Ofsted data.
Viewing A School’s Ofsted Data
Once on the School’s page, you’ll see a tab for Inspections:
Building Lists With The Ofsted Data
Education Data list
You can access the Ofsted filters when creating a Schools, or Teachers & Staff, list in the Education Data. Start by clicking Filters > Add Filter.
Scroll down and click Inspections > Latest Graded Inspection. This will pull up all of the Ofsted filters available.
If you click on any of the Learn More buttons, you will see an explanation of each Ofsted grade in relation to each filter.
To input one of the options as a filter, for instance the Behaviour and Attitudes grade, click on this option, select Is Any Of, and select one of the grades, such as ‘Requires Improvement.’
Alternatively, you might want to filter all schools with an Ofsted inspection after a certain date. Click Inspection Start Date > Is After > Input your date.
Click Add to action any filter.
Contact lists
To create a Contacts list using the Ofsted data, follow these simple steps: Start by clicking Filters > UK School Filters > Add Filter.
Scroll down until you see the Ofsted filters, pictured below.
Similar to when building an Education Data list, if you click on any of the Learn More buttons, you will see an explanation of each Ofsted grade in relation to each filter.
To input one of the options as a filter, for instance the Quality of Education grade, click on this option, select Is Any Of, and select one of the grades, such as ‘Inadequate.’
Click Add to action the filter.
